There are two well known systems of Numerology: Pythagorean and Chaldean.
Pythagorean
Pythagorean numerology is a widely used system of numerology, also known as Western numerology, that assigns numerical values to the letters in a person's name and uses the numerical value of their birth date to understand their personality, strengths, weaknesses, and potential life path. Named after the Greek philosopher Pythagoras, the system involves calculating single-digit numbers from a birth date and name to reveal insights into an individual's destiny and purpose.

Pythagorean numerology is less complex than other systems, like Chaldean numerology. Chaldean numerology is based on phonetic vibrations, uses a different number-letter chart (with no number 9), and gives more significance to the commonly used name rather than the full birth name.
